Seriously, you may get tired of hearing from my Jesus Calling, but today, well, it must be shared.  that’s just all there is to it.  Do you need a word on this holy week?  God. loves. you.

“I love you regardless of how well you are performing.  (you may just need to stop and ponder that for a minute or two…I sure did) Sometimes you feel uneasy, wondering if you are doing enough to be worthy of My Love.  No matter how exemplary your behavior, the answer to that question will always be no.  Your performance and My Love are totally different issues, which you need to sort out.  I love you with an everlasting Love that flows out from eternity without limits or conditions.  I have clothed you in My robe of righteousness, and this is an eternal transaction: Nothing and no one can reverse it.  Therefore, your accomplishment as a Christian has no bearing on My Love for you.  Even your ability to assess how well you are doing on a given day is flawed.  Your limited human perspective and the condition of your body, with its mercurial variations, distort your evaluations.

Bring your performance anxiety to Me, and receive in its place My unfailing Love.  Try to stay conscious of My loving Presence with you in all that you do, and I will direct your steps.”

Jeremiah 31:3, New Living Translation “Long ago the Lord said to Israel: ‘I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself.'”

Isaiah 61:10 NIV  “I delight greatly in the LORD; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest,  and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.”

Psalm 31:16 ESV “Make your face shine on your servant; save me in your steadfast love!”

Psalm 107:8  the message “So thank God for his marvelous love, for his miracle mercy to the children he loves”

Enjoy your day.  You are loved.  much.

would you please pray?

Hi.  I bring you a prayer request this evening.  Do you mind?  I’m one of these who just wants more and more people praying when there is a serious need.  And a little one with cancer certainly is a serious need.

My next-door neighbors have a grandson named Bennett, who is 13 months old, who was just this last weekend diagnosed with leukemia.  I can’t imagine.  My neighbors, of course, left immediately for Dallas to help however they could.  To support this family. Their beloveds.  Bennett has two older sisters.  Of course, this diagnosis has rocked their worlds.

My neighbors came back home this afternoon, because Ruth will have shoulder surgery early in the morning.  They decided to go ahead with that, so hopefully in a few weeks she can return to help this household in a more active way.  Mitch and I visited with them for a while tonight, and they truly are relying on prayers to get through this staggering challenge of little Bennett’s leukemia.  I just thought of y’all, and wanted to give you the opportunity to pray, and wait along with us for Bennett’s healing.

The good news so far is that it is very treatable, and it’s the “best kind” to get if you get leukemia.  We praise God for that.  Also, it is not in the spinal fluid.  So grateful!  Bone marrow tests come back in a week or two.  Bennett is already in treatment, and will be for the next 3 and 1/2 years.

Also, would you remember Ruth in the morning?  Her surgery should be around 8 am.

Thank you for letting me bring all this to you.  These neighbors of mine are dear to us.  I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your prayers on their behalf, and know they would say the same thing.  Expecting God to show off in many ways…….

fill up!

from my Jesus Calling devo this morning – so good!

“Let Me fill you with my Love, Joy, and Peace.  These are Glory-gifts, flowing from my living Presence.  Though you are an earthen vessel, I designed you to be filled with heavenly contents.  Your weakness is not a deterrent to being filled with My Spirit; on the contrary, it provides an opportunity for My Power to shine forth more brightly.

As you go through this day, trust Me to provide the strength that you need moment by moment.  Don’t waste energy wondering whether you are adequate for today’s journey.  My Spirit within you is more than sufficient to handle whatever this day may bring.  That is the basis for your confidence!  In quietness (spending time alone with Me) and confident trust (relying on My sufficiency) is your strength.

2 Corinthians 4:7

Isaiah 30:15

Oh, how I need Him today! and everyday!  Go out and trust Him to provide the strength you need……
