Word of God speak

Hi!  If you are one of the three people still reading this silly blog thing, hi.  🙂  I find it totally a joy to think of you, pray for you, and share with you the things that God is doing in me.  Or the things that I notice around me as I walk this walk of faith.

However, lately I have been noticing a silence in my soul.  A quietness.  Not many words to share.  My life is far from quiet right now – as busy as it’s ever been.  Exciting.  Great things going on.  But busy.  I knew this spring would be like this, so it’s not surprising.  What has been surprising has been the quiet, stillness inside.  So I simply wait.  I ponder all the changes, all the powerful, monumental  moments I’ve lived through, and wait for those coming up.  I also cling to the Word.  Notice it, look for it, roll it over and over in my mind.  My soul may be quiet, but I always need God to talk to me!  I can take a quiet season, if I have a God Who talks to me!  And He always delivers.  It always amazes me to talk to others who want to know what to do in their life, help with a decision, and yet do not dive into His Word – people!  If you need guidance, help in any area of  your life, go to God in His Word!

That’s it for now.  He totally rocks my world, and I pray He does the same in yours.  Have a great weekend.  Let Him speak to you.  amen.

Word of God Speak
Artist: Mercy Me
Album: Spoken For

I'm finding myself at a loss for words
And the funny thing is it's okay
The last thing I need is to be heard
But to hear what You would say

Word of God speak
Would You pour down like rain
Washing my eyes to see
Your majesty
To be still and know
That You're in this place
Please let me stay and rest
In Your holiness

Word of God speak

I'm finding myself in the midst of You
Beyond the music, beyond the noise
All that I need is to be with You
And in the quiet hear Your voice

I'm finding myself at a loss for words
And the funny thing is it's okay

“Trust God from the very bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure everything out on your own. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track. Don’t assume you know it all. Run to God! Run from evil! Your body will glow with health, your very bones will vibrate with life!”

Proverbs 3:5-7, The Message

God is in charge

“Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.” Matthew 6:13 RSV

“Thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever.” What protection this . . . phrase affords. As you confess that God is in charge, you admit that you aren’t. As you proclaim that God has power, you admit that you don’t. And as you give God all the applause, there is none left to dizzy your brain.  ~Max Lucado

You just gotta love Max……he just knows how to put it, doesn’t he?!!  Establish Who’s in charge today – and enjoy it.

“So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life – your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking – around life – and place it before God as an offering.  Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for Him.  Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking.  Instead, fix your attention on God.  You’ll be changed from the inside out . . . . .”  Romans 12:1-2 the message
