I love my children. I probably don’t tell you about them as much as I would like to. They are just so special to me, and I ADORE them! seriously. They are such a delight to me. I have four of them – did you know that? – three boys and a girl. Today is a very special day for my second born. very special to me, too. He turns 23 today. (yes, I know I’m old!!! please, no need to comment on that!) Seriously, I really don’t feel old enough to have children in their 20s, but it’s true enough. Facts are facts.
My birthday boy – this young man is amazing. He follows his passions, he brightens up any day, he teaches me something in most every conversation, he knows so much about things I don’t, and I love him so….He lives in Nashville – waaaaaaay too far from his mom! – he works in the music industry, and is going to graduate from Belmont in May – praise the LORD!!! His dad and I are so very proud of him. honestly. So join me in wishing Mark a very happy birthday. I must say, he has made my life more excellent. more exciting. more full of joy, that’s for sure.
“The LORD bless you
and keep you; the LORD make his face shine upon you
and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you
and give you peace.” Numbers 6:24-26
Happy birthday, son. (you have some surprises coming your way!) I love you so. ~mom
Happy “Golden” Birthday to your boy!! This is just the sweetest post to him…I sure do hope he reads it! And, YAY for graduating in May. I know that wonderful feeling. (Well, not the way you parents feel…but the way WE feel!!!)
Nancy, hugging you last night was just the highlight of my night. You are just about the CUTEST & SWEETEST thing ever! (I feel like I’ve known you much longer!) Can’t wait to hug your neck EVERY Tuesday night. (That is if I’m not in the bathroom!!)
Much love,
Lindsee
Okay, so you know how when someone ventures out on an evening with a couple, or married couple, they’re considered the ‘third’ wheel?
By that analogy, I would be like the 8th wheel in an octagon. Or really, more like the 2000th wheel I’m sure in whatever shape you would like to call such
ANYWAY, I’m blog buddies with Lindsee (above), and have clicked and clicked and clicked and clicked some more to arrive here.
Your shout-out to your son was too sweet. I hope he reads it as well. My boyfriend – Nate Griffin – lives in Nashville! I wonder if he would know your son. He lives near the Belmont area as well. And if he’s about to graduate, whew! Glory to our sweet Jesus!
